I don't know if I tried to do something like this on here before, but I'm going to try it again. If I fail, whatever, life goes on. Anywho, I'm going to try to write a blog a day. Be it about feelings, something I read, something I did, etc, doesn't matter. What I hope to gain from this is personal insight, direction, blah blah blah. Why am I doing this publicly and not in a personal journal? Well, let's just say that I'm already solitary enough as it is, and I spend too much time in my own head. So I'm going to get my thoughts and ideas out by getting them OUT. Warning, it might be boring at first, or always, and it might get repetitive, so bear with me. I'm going to try to make them not repetitive though, in fact, I will strive to do so. You don't have to read them, just like you don't have to read anyone's blog if you don't want. You also don't have to comment. I am not doing this for attention. I'm doing this to connect to the world via the internet. :p It's pretty much the only resource I have right now other than work. Sad, I know, but that's the point of this experiment. If anyone wants to copy me and join me in this experiment, go right ahead, the more the merrier! :) I'm hoping this will help me to live my life in order to find things to blog about every day. I think that's what this is really about, actually. So, yeah, here goes nothin!
Blog #0:
Today has been, well, a day. I can't believe it's the 20th of September already! 3 more days till Mabon, and I have that day off, so WOO! I'm gonna need it after this week. My schedule has been so friggin' wonky this week. Yesterday was my normal 3 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. truck shift, today I was only scheduled for 3 1/2 hours, which was odd, but whatever, and then tomorrow, tonight, whatever.....um, 1 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. O_O No one at my work is looking forward to this, but we'll get through it. The truck is coming at 1, and we will be unloading and stocking xmas ornaments! wooooooooo! and it's not even Halloween yet! Huzzah for working at a craft store where I realized today, that I am slowly learning that there IS indeed a difference between the colors putty and taupe. Stock enough craft paint and scrapbooking paper, and you'll see what I mean. :p
I've also been feeling very artistically inspired as of late. It's the upside and downside of working where I do. Wonderful place to be inspired, but on the other hand, it makes me wanna do EVERYTHING all at once, and well, since I do work now, um, I have no time for any of it. Well, I won't say *any*, but just not everything that I wanna dip my hands into. That, and my paychecks are pretty much being recycled back into the company, lol! 2 weeks ago it was chainmaille, last week/this week has been all about my Absinthe Fairy costume, and next week, um, omg, we have all this victorian steampunk awesomeness that I wanna play with! If this intrigues you, go check out this: http://www.timholtz.com/ We sell a lot of his products in the scrapbooking section of our store, and everyone has been raving over candles decorated with alcohol ink. They look amazing, and I wanna try it!
If I do end up making stuff, I will definitely post pics. Which reminds me, I really really need to find my camera charger. I have SO MUCH STUFF I wanna show you guys! I needs to clean my room, BADLY. Maybe one of these days I'll just start my own art/craft blog....hmmm..... oh yeah! I drew something really cool today too! it is 6 overlapping circles all in different colors, with a bunch of black spiraly stuffs. I did it just as a random boredom thing, and it's a very typical art piece of mine, but I likes it! If and when I do ever find my camera charger, I will definitely post it. I have a "new" leatherbound sketchbook that for once is not intimidating. My mom bought it for me at an estate sale that she was working at. It belonged to some teenaged girl apparently, and I had to rip several pages out of it. What a waste of a perfectly beautiful sketchbook to write your friends' names in bubble letters and make lists of what kind of purse to buy @ the mall. *rolls eyes* I wanna get a cool like metal plate thingy so I can decorate the front of it and put my name on it and make it look all pretty. Nevermind that when you open it, the pages are all ripped, but whatever. :p I wanna play with rubber stamps. and alcohol ink, and, and, and.......eeee! I get paid on Thursday! w00t!
I also need to get a haircut. I mean yes, I want my hair to be all long and stuff, but it's just been looking so straggly lately. There's an ant crawling on me. I think he migrated from my next door neighbors' yard. I'm watering for them while they are on vacation. They have a beautiful backyard garden that I am rather envious of. I currently have about 5 plumerias stuck in my hair from it. :p I looooooove plumerias. Have I rambled enough yet? Of course not! Because I'm also thinking of looking into joining this kickboxing gym that's close to my house. I need to get back in shape really really badly. It would help immensely at work. Maybe I wouldn't break a sweat so easily, and I can actually lift stuff w/out looking like a total wuss or getting one of the guys to help me, lol! Now, if only I could grow taller too, I could reach stuff to put it away on some of the higher shelves w/out having to stand on my tippy toes, or worse yet, get a ladder. Oh well, nothing I can do about that.
Anyway, I think dinner's ready. My mom made pot roast, which smells wonderful, but isn't my favorite. I find that I'm not a huge fan of eating cows. I know, blasphemy, right? Ok, seriously, enough rambling.
END!
