Well, it's nice to have a place to put introductions. Do I have to do it over again? Well, I'm new here and under a year for Wicca learning. It's my new path and what a wonderful journey it has been so far. I feel like I've been liberated and I want to do nothing eat, sleep and read about Wicca. Love talking about it and I think I don't care if anybody knows or not. It's like embracing something so wonderful, you want to share with everybody. I have no feelings of guilt nor do I think I am wrong. I think I am old (old crone here) enough to figure things out for myself and I know this is what I want. Just too bad it took me so long to find my path. Well, I tend to ramble. I still have to figure how to put a photo on here. LOL, Mab |

LOL awww, thank you Mab. You didn't have to, but I'm glad you did. Liberation is one of the best feelings ever!!
Let's see about pics.. Okay, there are a couple ways, but since it sounds like you're attempting to set an avatar, we'll do it this way. On the top gray bar that goes across every witchbook page, look for the icon that looks like a person. if you just hold your pointer over it it will open up a menu. drag your pointer (which is now a hand, pointing) down to photos, fifth from the bottom. Click it! Top right below the gray bar, click 'add album'. Fill in the Title and whatever else you want and click 'submit'. When the page changes and you see your album, click the title of it. It'll say "you have 0 photos in this album. Click here to add more" Click there! Then it'll have a choice of uploaders. I use the flash. Try it if you have no idea what any of this means. If you are used to using photobucket to embed pics, you can do that too. If you upload them from your computer, just go with flash on the first try. Then click 'select file' and you can look for a pic to upload from your computer. Once you have chosen a file, and it's uploaded, another page will load that enables you to fill out a title. You must. Then you can tag it so people performing searches based on tags will find it. Then you must fill out a description. Choose a category. Check the preview to make sure the right pic got uploaded. Boom. You're good to go. Now it will take you back to the pic you uploaded, click the title under the pic you chose. Look to the right side of the pic. There are many options. One is 'Set as avatar'. Click that and there you have it. A nice avatar! Wooo! |

I already kinda introduced myself in my Samhain plans thread, but I might as well do it again here. I have been studying witchcraft for two years ish now, and this Samhain I am having my first proper ritual. I would love to talk to anyone about the craft, so please don't hesitate to contact me. |

Hi there, Mat! Welcome to Witchbook. We like to make new friends too so if you make yourself at home, may it commence. I see you've already gotten started in the forums. Yay! There's also chat. Usually someone around at some point. And blogs too, if you feel like sharing a little bit more about yourself. LOL No pressure, just trying to help you find your way around. Great to have you, and I hope you do find some good friends. Lots of great people.
Be seeing you around, I hope!

 Bright Blessings To All.
New to the site. My name is Raine.
I've been on this path for a few years now, slowly learning, making my way through the abundance of information that's out there. I've really started to come into my own this last year and a half. I'm solitary for now. Hoping to find others in my area. I love to read and love to learn and this feels like a place to do both.
Thank you for welcoming me into your lives.

Hi,I just recently found this place THROUGH snooping around my friends'friends lists on MYSPACE.(FYI MYSPACE is not dead!!!)
I am a veteran metaphysical practitioner, inso far as by veteran I mean,I began my experiments at 11 (necromancy, that!) and astral projection and T.M. (Transcendental Meditation, thats to George Harrison for that, can any other Beatles fans relate???)
I have a basic background in Wicca,Planetary Magick,Hindu and Norse pantheons, some Native American style shamanism ...I discovered Chaos Magick when I lived in San Francisco (where I was a true Bohemian).
My "real life" is full of showbiz aspirations.I'm a Jersey Girl who spent close to half her life in California (mostly Hollywood),I worked on lots of films/tv shows/danced in rock videos, did some alt modeling, did some stage dancing, was an activist for homeless issues and worked on the medical marijuana Prop 215 and civil rights causes.
9/11 happened and switched my politics Moderate veering Right.About that time my Dad got sick, so I put my stuff in storage in Hollywood and went back East to help care for him;he died the NYE before last...now I am mostly East Coast based, looking for gigs in NYC or Philly,I do a lot of my life online, trying to bloom where planted.(I can afford the rent so I am here *smirk*).I cannot pick a coast but I don't have the $$ to finance my freedom so I kinda let the Universe take care of me (that and family *smirk*).
I probably said too much but....hey.... |

 Obligatory introduction:
I'm known in witchy circles as Mab of the Old Ways. Friends & sisters simply call me Mab. I am a non-Wiccan, non-Pagan practicing witch of roughly 10 years, a 1st degree priestess in my coven, and an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church (yeah, I know...who isn't?). My life is in a transitionary period at the moment. I'm pretty intelligent, pretty open-minded, prone to sarcasm, and gifted with a quick & sharp tongue. You just don't know what I might say. However, I'm lousy at talking about myself. |

Well, I guess ill introduce myself here then. My name's Tasha, and I've been studying the craft for going on 4 years now. I spent one year kind of hopelessly wandering, but I soon gained a foothold and began my year and a day. Currently, I am working towards my3rd degree initiation. I have decided to specialize in shapeshifting and a form of shapeshifting I call embodying, and I hope there's moreout there for me to learn. I switched over from Catholicism, and this craft really resonates with me. I feel like I've finally found something I can truly believe in whole heartedly, and gods know I do. It's definitely a god send to have found this path, and while I know it's far from over, I feel as though my journey has barely begin. The only problem is that my entire family is catholic. My grandfather changes religions to marry my grandma. So I guess you can say that I'm a bit outnumbered here. I do have friends though, that share the same passion. We try to meet on a regular basis, but we can't alwayspull it off. Were all extremely active people, so sometimes it can be a bit of a challenge. But even through all our disfunctional issues, I wouldn't trade it for the world. We teach each other, help each other, and train each other in our stronger areas in order to strengthen the ties of the coven and the ties of our friendships. While not many people are completely out, a few are and are accepted as such and that does give me a bit of hope. Thank you to everyone who has made this craft what it is- because I never would have been put back on the path to the goddess without it. :) |

 Hello All,
I'm so glad I found a little refuge here in WB! I'm in an area where there are not too many open-minded people and it's nice to have some relief. I've always been a Pagan but I suppose I 'remembered' my path over ten years ago. Since then, I'm fascinated by everything- shamanism, Wicca, ancient Egyptian religions, scrying, herbalism- everything- and I am thankful everyday of my life that I found my way back to Goddess in this life again. I can tell already that you all are very multi-faceted and wise and I look forward to sharing experiences and building friendships!

Good afternoon everyone, it is great to find a social network that I feel comfortable with. I've been involved in magick for a year now and am settling into my own personal 'way', borrowing from wicca, chaos and everything else I read about. I once was a fundamentalist Christian for a good number of years, then departed from that, discovering that I like finding my own way better than having it laid out for me. Some of the Eastern philosophies appeal to me and I have studied them for years, but they have become static (boring). Magick is very creative to me and I enjoy doing what I do. My favorite quote from Chaos magick is , "Nothing is true, everything is permitted." I like that freedom.
I do have a sense of humor and like to joke about...everything. :)
That's all for now! |

Welcome Temple, Midnight_Rider and Foxglove. It's great to see you all here on WB, and I hope you get settled in nicely and find your own places here.
Midnight, I love your sense of humor and those are quite welcome around here. Your blog post "secret society" made me laugh.
Foxglove, my parents also attempted to fit me into the United Methodist role, but of course, it did not work. I am also an avid gardener and just lovelovelove plants. I am a student in horticulture at the moment, but hope to be certified as an herbalist at some point too, aside from that.
Y'all feel free to use all aspects of WB that are appropriate for you. I'll just take a moment to invite you to our live chat. It's usually busy in the evening time on the NA continent. We have rooms for all and one for 18+ (adult themed and language inside the rules of TOS--the password can be found in the news section or by asking any of the staff), the more the merrier. It's another great way to get to know people. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. |

My name is Marina, and I consider myself a pretty easy going person, though I am very shy and enjoy alone time more than time with crowds. I was raised Christian, but at a very young age I found that I did not agree with some of the stuff I heard in church. I decided to dedicate myself to the Goddess at the age of 12. I had studied alternative religions for a couple years before then, and it was the hardest yest best decision I've ever made. I follow more along the Celtic and Norse pantheons of paganism, but I love learning things from all different pantheons:) I am very open to others beliefs and practices, just as long as they are not forced upon me. My matron Goddess is the Morrighan. I see and talk to animal spirits, though I don't consider myself psychic or clairvoyant. I am also and empath, which I never found helpful until recently, I had always viewed it as a curse and can now see it as a gift:) I love walking the hidden paths around the creek near my residence it is very peaceful! I still live at home with my mum and two sisters, and though we don't see eye to eye and we aren't close in bond, I love them very much. I have a cat named Murrphy, he is a doll and my world. I adopted him only a few short months ago and I couldn't ever see my life without him. That's pretty much it unless anyone has some questions, feel free to drop me a message and I would love to talk to you:) |

 Hello everyone!
I am Niniane (or Nini, whatever you prefer) from Austria and i found this interesting place via Google (thank you Google, by the way! :-) ). I call myself a witch since about eigth years. That was when i found out that I am not mad and all the strange things that happened are not that strange at all. And that there are other witches! Many many all over the world. :-) So I began reading books, search via internet and so on. I found other pagans, went part of my way together with them, until we had to separate, because it didn`t work anymore. Anyway, at the moment me and my boyfriend practise alone. :-)
By the way, sorry if i make writing mistakes, i`ve learned English at school and think i am pretty good at it, but still it is not my mothertongue. ;-)
bright blessings

Greetings- I am new here, found the place quite by accident but there were certain ironies in the finding, you know those little things that make you think, "Maybe this is the right one..." I'm not much of a forum person. I'm no sock puppet and I generally just have one forum and visit as ferquently as I can rather than joining so many I can't keeptrack. Right now, I've joined here because things got a little abusive at my old house...lol. In other words, I guess you could say i'm recovering from a 3 year relationship with another forum that changed too much over the years and not in any way I would call good. Bless them all though, it just feels good to grow and move on.
I have a kid and a couple of cats and am a research assistant. That's sort of all I have right now.

Welcome to WB, Marina, Niniane, and River! It's wonderful to have you. I hope you find your way around alright. If not, please ask around for what you're needing. We's very helpful.
Ninane, from Austria! I'm glad you found us. You're english seems very good indeed. hehe, your use of the word "mothertongue" reminds me of a Rammstein song (not very hard to remind me of them probably). Perhaps like them, your first language is German? I look forward to seeing you around!
River, ugh. I'm sorry you had to leave your previous forum home, but I'm glad you found ours! Most of us share the space pretty well. I don't think you'll find a whole lot of sock puppets around though. Depends on what that entails for you, I suppose.
Marina, thank you for sharing your intro with us. Very nice!
I look forward to seeing you all around the neighborhood! |

Scyn- It's good to be here. I like that expression as well. I took Deutsch in HS...YEARS ago but we also referenced our muttersprache or Mother Tongue. Nowadays we could add IM language to that for some of these kids today!
A sock puppet is one who lingers around a forum changing their identities all the time and/or having multiple accounts. I'm not like that. I pick ONE and only one and stick with it, I just don't have the time for multiple forums ;)
I'll miss my old forum home too but honestly, it's gotten to the point there where everything you see has already been posted a million times and you can tell how sick to death people are by it by the way they post. There's so much anger there and more argument than communication. It was an awesome place when it was new but it grew old and bitter. And the cliques! Ugh, anyway, enough about all that, it was a good experience for a time but i've outgrown it. Glad to be here.
Scyn-I love your avatar! I have a thing for crows ;) Anyway I can get that pic? I would like to share it with a friend of mine. |

River-- Oooh THAT kind of sock puppet! Isn't that amazing?? I have come across that a time or two myself, and I'm kind of fascinated by it. What is the motivation? What does it gain the person doing it? Bleh. I am too me to attempt to be someone else.
That's a real shame about the forum you came from. That it has boiled down to that. We still have plenty of unexplored space. but even so, I'd hate to see things come to that.
haha... I like your avatar too! I considered that pic for one of my 2 tats which are of crows. Of course you can have it to show your friend. I found it on the net while I was looking for another pic, actually. I was looking for a pic by RK Post that's of a crow girl, is the best description. She's in black and has black wings and is holding an ear of corn over each of her eyes. Something like that, it's been a long time since I've seen it. I came across this one instead and fell in love with it! I have an affinity for crows too.

No no! It's not funny at all. I kind of like the intimacy it brings to the concept. Here they call it your 'first language" which is much more sterile. We're really happy to have you here. Make yourself at home, I look forward to getting to know you better.

Hello. I am a seeker from Alaska who is newly diving into attempting to solidify my faith. I have a mother who identifies herself as a Witch and a father who classifies himself as a Druid. I have no specific title to my faith but am certainly drawn to nature as a focus for me. I am searching for people of likemind or at a similar mind or at a similar point in their search. |

Hey, everyone! I joined last week. I'm at Facebook, PaganSpace, and Twitter, but had been wanting to join CovenSpace. By the time I could it was gone. *lol* But I found Witchnet instead, and DigitalMagick has been fab for helping me find my way around. Okay, about me. I'm a Pagan Paranormal Erotica Novelist. I've written 52 books in the 23 years I have been a fulltime author. All my books contain real spells, chants, and rituals and are verrrry Pagan. You can find all my ebooks in the Kindle Store for $1.99 here: http://ht.ly/2IkvB or in pdf at my books site here: http://www.avampskiss.blogspot.com . I also have a naughty blog here: http://www.erotica-laurastamps.blogspot.com/ . Other than that, I'm a Wiccan Faery Witch (SexWitch) and rather eclectic. I look forward to getting to know everyone. This is an awesome site!

 Merry meet everyone!
My (Wiccan) name is Elani and I'm the creator of Little Witch Magazine, a brand new magazine for and by Neopagan practitioners. We're trying to spread our name and widen our community and I'm thrilled to be meeting all these lovely people who think like I do. This is our website; littlewitchmagazine.com.
As for me; I'm 25 years old, study international business communication and have been a Neopagan practitioner for a little over ten years now. I'm primarily a Dianic Wiccan with some Pagan and Technopagan influences. I am a solitary practitioner and started LWM so I could meet others as I'm at that point in my practice where I'd love some input on my Ways. I live in the Netherlands.
If there is anything you'd like to know, please don't hesitate to ask!
Blessed be,
Elani |

 Merry Meet!
Hi all! I'm chelsea I like to go by willow because I have a passion for willow tree's! Not to sure why just every time I see them I get this great feeling! I am 22 years old and a mother of a two year old little boy! i have been studing wicca/paganism for a little over two years! Still much more to learn. I am solitary with the exception of sometime studing with a friend of mine. I used to look more towards being in a coven, but a sudden change of heart came about and I am really enjoying studing alone...to the beat of my own drum so to speak. I love to read, but having an active two year old can make that a challenge! Right now I am diving back to square one of studing the craft so that I can be sure of my practice and my beliefs. I sometimes tend to have my own view of things. I am still trying to master meditation but again with such an active two year old the only meditation practicing I get results in a deep sleep LMAO! I'm working on it. I just wanted to join this site to meet people like me who like to write on the internet and trade information regarding the craft...well regarding anything! I also love to cook and want to try to do a small garden this year! Last years garden didnt make it so well! :-( I hope to meet many friends on here as i'm sure I will. I love to get emails and talk to new people! Ill have to admit it's hard for me to navigate on new pages like this so it may take me some time to get up and flowing. I love to blog even thou my life is a little slow paced! Hope to meet many friends...even life long friends :-)
talk to u all soon

Hello everyone. My name is Margaret, and I am from Upstate/Western New York State. 22 years old, working retail fulltime to pay the bills, meanwhile in the empty times I am working on building a motion/print design portfolio so I can be an awesome design artist.
I am rather a privet person and I try to keep to myself, especially when it comes to magick/the occult/spirits/whatever you want to call it. It probably isn't a good habit, but I grew up in a conservative/heavy christian area, and when I did talk about this stuff in middle and high school, I lost friends. I still lose friends a lot because I scare them. Kinda sad I guess, but I've gotten used to it. :P
I consider myself purely 'Pegan', not necessarially a 'witch' or any variation on that because I don't do spells or rituals. They never worked for me, even though I wish they would. I think it would be cool, hehe. I worship the Goddess Brigid. I have tried other sites and attempted piles of research, but nothing has helped me. I found this site, and I figured it was worth a try. You all seem like nice people. :)
I am mostly here to get help with all my issues. I grew sensative to spirits, trees, and energy, fueled by my Father. I am so lucky that he never let those senses die out as I matured, like so many apparently do. Basically, I am here to find help so I don't go crazy. Well, crazier.
Heh, okay. Enough of the depressing weird talk. I like coffee, tea, muffins, bubbles, animals, nature, music, art, and playing video games. I am fairly straight-edged, I don't drink alcohol, smoke, do drugs, even drink caffine too much. If it is addictive, I try to avoid it. I also have a MILLION cats (Not literally), three dogs, and my mom owns three horses which are basically big dogs.
That's all I can think of right now. Hello everyone! I'm Margaret. |

Greetings and solicitations all. I am the Oracle, leader and guide of a human colony in another galaxy here to greet you and prepare you for the journey to reunite with us, your forefathers. I am their leader and spiritual guide, king if you will however I do not like that term because I am not someone to bow down to looking for glory. I am in close touch with nature and a member of the Universal High Council of advanced life forms. I guide my people spiritually and technologically in their evolution. I am not better than anyone else, just more experienced and spiritually older. I also have the membership and connections needed to lead and guide. If you think I am crazy or just being funny, that is fine but, I do expect the appropriate respect as I offer you all respect as deserved. I did not read the previous introductions here yet because I presume some of the members listed are no longer active here and will do so later. Thanks for your time and attention. I look forward to making many new friends. |

I know this is Witchbook, and not Genie book, but Im hoping to find others out there like myself. Being a Genie can be really isolating, and it's very difficult to find other practioners of Geniemagick, as you can imagine.
I am a genie, age 32 (in people years. 224 in Genie Years, which is really not that old at all.) No, I don't live in a bottle. Yes, I can grant wishes. |

Greetings... Just signed up today and saw the intro thread. I had my first initiation into Druidry and the ways of the nature spirits 30 years ago and have been walking the path ever since. I've had the great good fortune of having a number of wise, wild, mystical teachers. I live my life on my own terms and my journey has taken these feet down many roads.
I currently live in Cascadia (what is now called Oregon) and grow food, medicines, teach the Way, and make trouble where I can. |

Merry Meet members! I'm new to this site and have joined a few groups so far. Looking to meet some like minded people, make friends, learn and grow in this new path I've found. I feel I fall into the eclectic solitary wiccan path but there's many things I'm interested in so far, so who knows.......maybe it'll change, maybe it won't. I'm from Pa. and don't know anyone else in the Pagan/Wiccan path so I'd love to hear from others, from Pa or anywhere.
Love and light )0(

 Greetings and Salutations.
Merry Meet to you all. I am very new here and still having trouble getting around. took me 10 minutes to find my inbox which was staring me in the face. lol
I used to study wicca for about 5 years, but was forced to give it up and i regret the choice to allow this person to make me give up something so natural to me. I love Wicca. I'm grateful my best friend, fellow pagan and beloved of my heart pushed me in the right direction to once more take wicca up. I love him for it.
At this stage i'm once more relearning the basics and finding it hard deciding what i actually need to study. I remember a lot of the basic information from last time, so where do i go from here? fork in the road, which path to take. If anyone can help i'd be over joyed to receive it.
Hmmm, what else can i say? Well im a 24 (nearly, april 19th then i am) year old New Zealand citizen. I'm trying to find other wiccan's in New Zealand and have so far found a few on the witches voice.
Any who, Look forward to hearing from someone
Blessed Be

 Merry Meet.
My name is Rachel. I have been studying and practicing Wicca for the past seven years. I go by Remedy because that was the name given to me by a dear friend when I first began studying the subject; however, as I have gained more knowledge and progressed I have begun to try to find my true Magickal name because I do not feel a connection to my current one as I believe one should. I have always been a Solitary Witch; by circumstance, not by choice. I hope to one day join a coven.
I am very happy to have become a member of this site. :) |

My path to Wicca is a relatively short one. This is the story written on my profile:
I was raised in a Baptist family, and when I was 13, I started having doubts about the religion. By 14 I completely abandoned all Christian beliefs, and I felt a weight lifted off of me. Since then, I have struggled with finding a belief system that fits me. For a long time, I considered myself agnostic; not really sure of what it meant, but it was a lot easier to tell people that than to explain my complex beliefs. Anyway, recently my boyfriend has been talking about Paganism. He has a strong connection with his American Indian heritage, and has been talking about their connection with nature. Immediately I felt something was right with that. I searched online and discovered that Paganism in its original root is not really practiced today, and several times the word Wicca came up. I decided to search Wicca and found an amazing website that pretty much changed my life. I never felt something fit so perfectly with me. I know Wicca is my path in life |

Hello, where to start. Well I am married with 3 kids. 1 girl 19, 2 boys 17 & 11. 2 dogs, 2 cats, 1 rabbit. So I have a big family here. I live in SW Ohio.
I have been studing and learning about the pagan life for about 7-8 yrs now. I have many interests in it so I can't pinpoint what exactly I like best really. I enjoy many of the different traditions and paths. I am more on the nature side of things and I really like the elements. I have taken many classes and online course for Aromatherapy but haven't taken the step yet to get the Doctor title in that field yet. It requires a lot and right now in my life I don't have the time to complete it. But I will soon.
Other things I like. I love to walk through parks, make crafts, learning new things of all sorts. One of my newest interests in making dream catchers. I find them to be very beautiful and useful. I also like to make digital scrap kits, textures, elements and so on. I also make signature tags. Mostly in my spare time. I also dabble at digital photography.
Well that is about all I can think of now.
Many blessings,
SassyDebs |

Hello there all! My name is Josie, and I've been practicing for about 7 years now! I'm so happy to have found a place to meet fellow pagans. I used to be a really lonely solitary, and while I still do my practice by myself, I love meeting and talking with new people about the Craft! Please be kind. :D |

Hi. I'm new to this place. I've been studying my path for almost 14 years. I follow a combined path, Iron Age Canaanite Religion with Christian Gnosticism (Valentinianism). I'm 35 and currently living in South Africa |

Hello, my name is Draoidheachd which is the Scots Gaelic word for magick. I am a 37 year old Magus living in the mystical East End of Glasgow, Scotland. My definition of magick would be very similar to the one given by Alan Moore in the link I've posted on my wall. However, I have been following my own path for as long as I can remember and I could never adhere to one doctrine or subscribe to one religious point of view. I think that there are as many different spiritual paths as there are people to walk those paths. Why would one set of beliefs be right for everyone? I read a lot of books, but perhaps not enough to find any useful answers and just enough to find some useful questions.
I joined this site, not because I am particularly sociable, but because I am curious to find out who all these other Pagans are and what they think.
Anyway, Blessed Be and all that. |

Welcome to the site! While I strongly doubt that joining this site would attract any spirits, entities, or energies to you that weren't otherwise already there, I can't say anything from the perspective of an expert, it would simply be the first time I'd heard anything of that sort. But if you are being harassed by any spirits from witchbook, let me know, and I'll ban their accounts (after a warning. lol) Beliefs are like watches. Each trusts his own, but no two run the same. |

Hello everyone. It's a pleasure to find a site like this. I was raised catholic as a child but never really was a believer as the church seemed more of a hypocricy in my eyes. There was always a pagan calling within me, that little voice in the back of my mind begging to be heard. I had started to learn Wicca many years ago but was led astray by those close to me. I have been studying Wicca for the last few months now and nothing has ever felt more right in my entire life. I know now The Goddess watches over me. She always has from the beginning, I just couldn't see it.
I am more or less an eclectic witch tho the old deities are the core of my belief. My Goddess is Hecate and my God is Pan. Since finding them in my heart my life has improved in more ways than I can possibly list. But most importantly is knowing I have found the path I was always meant for. I finally am whole after so many years of being empty.
I grew up in New York but have traveled a bit. Back in October of 2010 I took a trip to Holland and was exposed to Pagan beliefs. That exposure rekindled the search for my path. Norse and Celtic traditions run deep through my veins and it was that trip to the old world that awakened me to that fact.
As a child I could do some pretty interesting things, but as I grew older and was taught that certain thing were not possible I lost touch with that part of me that was able to do those things. I hope one day to find that part of me again as it does run in my blood. My mother is clairvoyant as well as a few cousins I know of.
So fate has had me find my way here. Hope to learn more and make some new friends. Blessed be

Hello friends! Welcome newcomers! I'm a bit of a lurker but I have been getting more active lately, been here since Covenspace went down and everyone was looking for something to fill the void it left. Vets may remember me better as CircleMaiden, as I was about seventeen when I made my profile and I was not yet an adult (still not, in my opinion). Been practicing an eclectic form of Wicca for almost sixteen years now, and I follow the Greek pantheon more often than not. Like WitchyKitty I sometimes mix pantheons, but for sure the Goddesses I pray to most are Diana and Hecate and the God I pray to most is the Horned One. What brought me to paganism and specifically Wicca? My dad. A total deadbeat, but he taught me crystal meanings and herbalism since I was old enough to understand what he was saying. He had been practicing Wicca himself for twenty years before he taught me, and was a second-degree High Priest in his coven. I myself was a High Priestess for two years before I left for college last year. I know quite a bit, but I always look to learn more from those around me. I am set in my ways, but I can be pretty chill unless you provoke me. I know my way around the site and around paganism, so if any newcomers need help you can come to me or my friends WitchyKitty, Dancing_Happens, or the admins Scyn and Digi. Ask around and talk to people! Get involved! Don't lurk, it's dark here in the lurker's corner.... :) |

Geesh, I sure hope I am doing this right LOL..I am an old timer so bear with me. I am 44 almost 45. I have been with the most wonderful man since 1989, married since 91. We live in Maine and we have been practicing Wicca since shortly after we were married. I have 2 daughters and 3 grandsons, 2dogs and 3 cats... and lots of plants in the house and garden. I will add photo's of them to my album as soon as I have time. Feel free to message me or friend me (eventually I will figure that out as well :) )..I have always been a "nature child" and Wicca is a perfect fit in my life and always has been. I first found out about it online when I got my first computer. Love to chat and meet new people. Merry Meet and Blessed Be. |

Tho I do tend to babble sometimes. I am a Great Grandma so pretty old to finally find my way. I hope to find some friends here. ok, I don't know what more to say. |

hello. just joined WB about five minutes ago...i was so stoked to see an actual functioning network for occultists. i tried paganspace but it seemed to have an unwelcoming air to it.
anyway i currently reside in hawaii, honolulu to be exact. i hope there are more than a few people on this site that share this in common with me as there are very very few occultists here. my aim is to join a circle or group to practice with and eventually join a lodge or order and from there move overseas to study with a sufi or something of the like.
im a musician. a multi-instrumentalist and currently play in a folk band, an experimental pop band, and a black metal band.
anyway, i feel hopeful with this network. maybe ill feel less alone in my studies.
thanks

 Hello everyone :)
I started down the path by learning about myths and religions when I was 9. I found them similar an interesting, because of that I decided at a young age (9) that Christianity was not the only way. At 12 I got a book on the history of witchcraft and at 13 a book on Wicca by Raven Grimassi. I did not tell anyone about what I was studying nor could they guess that about me because I left no clues nor dropped hints. I did not want to start drama in the home. After I moved out and joined the Army I was able to study freely without fear of being caught. I got more books, read up on new topics online and found a group in the area. No one in my unit knew about me till 5 years later when I was on a deployment and my roommate saw my tarot cards (I thought she was still out at the tac site). I started giving her readings and she was so impressed by them that she told some other girls and then from there word got out and I was giving almost the whole unit readings. Now I am back home after 7 years in the Army and going to College to be an Embalmer and Funeral Director. I am not a dark person. It is a good paying job, quiet, you get to help families, can work in any town and it is always in need.
I am not Wiccan, I am a Witch. While I did read up on it I do not claim to be Wiccan. I do not believe in the Rule of 3 not because I cures people (which I don't) but because I feel that Karma balances out the negative energy we send out and sends it back to us in time. The ripple has to go out before it can come back to the source. I do not place Gerald Gardner on a pedestal. While he did bring Wicca and Modern Paganism to the attention of the public he also tried to control it and manipulate new people to the path with made up rules all claiming to be "The Old Way". Doreen Valente left his coven for that reason and has contributed so much for the Pagan community.
I do not worship any Gods or Goddesses. Some of my beliefs are posted on my profile.
Wicca is not the only way either. In my opinion Wicca is not whatever you want it to be. You can't pick and chose what fits for you and get rid of the stuff you don't like about it, then it is no longer Wicca but your own path. If you want to create your own path then there is nothing wrong with calling yourself a Witch or a Pagan. You do not have to be Wiccan. I always like to tell new people to the path to read up on Paganism not just Wicca.
I am just listing a few that are not just about how to be a Wiccan.
"Fifty Years of Wicca" by Frederic Lamond (I know it's about Wicca but this guy was with it from the start, it is an interesting "behind the scenes" kind of book) "ABC of Witchcraft Past and Present" by Doreen Valiente "The Spiral Dance" by Starhawk
"Green Egg Omelette" Edited by Oberon Zell-Ravenheart "The Elements of Ritual" by Debora Lipp
I would read the following books in this order to better understand the next book
1)"The White Goddess" by Robert Graves
2)"Aradia" AKA "Gospel of the Witches" by Charles Leland 3)"Drawing down the Moon" by Margot Adler
4)"The Triumph pf the Moon" by Ronald Hutton
5)"Trials of the Moon" by Ben Whitmore (It's a critique of ^)
I would not read anything by the Frosts because I do not condone underage sex at all especially between a child and their parents (Look it up). Also I would stay away from Correllian Wicca, in my opinion they just want your money and their story sounds totally made up so that they sound "valid".

Greetings from NC! I came across this glorious website through google. Be it simple fate or divine intervention, it brought a smile to my face! I'm sort of a universal spiritual person. I think this beautiful universe is full of mysteries waiting to be unlocked, divinities yest to be discovered, and joy in patience waiting to be achieved.
A bit about myself; I'm not a regular practitioner of any sort, but I do hold psytrance parties. I've been a trance DJ for quite some time, I'm starting a mellow acoustic band, and currently roadie for a couple bands in my area. I produce music on my own and also work in video production. Somehow I actually survive and take care of a family doing it!
I was hoping I could meet some wonderful people, learn some new things, and learn to better myself and maybe even others!
Namaste! |

Merry Meet! I'm Inara, I'm brand new to the site, and looking for people to talk to. I'm a twenty one year old witch, been practicing for the better of 11 years... I'm very open about everything I do. I was never "in the broom closet." I started practicing and have been a witch since the first time I shuffled my Tarot cards. Please, If you're interested in talking to me, feel free to message!
Well met and Blessed Be.

Merry Meet! Now that I've had a few days to acclimate myself to the website, I figured I'd introduce myself. I'm a 34 year old eclectic Wiccan witch of 15 years. I was originally a solitary practitioner until 2005 when I found an eclectic eastern-influenced coven that I was initiated into. I spent 2 wonderful years with them, but then chose to go solitary once again. I moved to the Adirondack Mountains, got married, adopted some fur-babies and now feel the desire to work within a group again. Unfortunately, where I live is like a mini-Bible-Belt and I'm unfortunately back in the broom closet again. :( It would be wonderful if I could meet some other pagans in the area, but sadly all the meet-up groups and pagan pride day organizers in this area have become completely inactive and I would have to commute quite a ways to be with anyone who is like-minded. That being said, if anyone is familiar with northeast NY and has any secret shops or events they'd like to share, please do!
My personal witchy interests include: Astrology, numerology, tarot, crystals and healing modalities. I currently have a huge fascination with singing bowls and high-vibration essential oils for use in sound/memory healing. I would also LOVE to learn more about growing herbs. Alas my thumb isn't as green as I would like it to be so I need some serious guidance! lol
Other things that I love to do are a WIDE assortment of crafts, massage and spa treatments, Reiki, Feng Shui and anything with mosaics (sparkly things rock!) I love to read and catch up on back-to-back episodes of tv shows on Netflix, and slowly, but surely fix up our 60 year old house, room by room. :P I also enjoy a bit of golf, soccer, baseball, hiking with our pups and occasionally trying my hand at some fiction writing now and then.
If you don't think I sound like a complete crazy person, do message me! I would love to make some great pagan friends!
Bright Blessings,
Laurentia |

Well, I don't really want to get to involved in an introduction on here because then I'll ramble on and on and you will know everything and then what point would there be in talking to me? Plus spilling my guts on a forum just isn't my cup of tea. However, I decided to post because I'm interested in finding new people to talk to. So if I interest you contact me =] Never apologize Never regret Never forget |

This is a lot more scaled down and my third effort at an introduction for me. I'm not posting it because I'm new, but so that others who are new might have an idea about what kinda Scynner I am. :) I made this up for another pagan network and am sharing it here. Enjoy and nice to "meet" you!
Hi there everyone, please forgive my being remiss in providing an introduction before now. I have a hard time with them. I tend to not like nailing myself down to a paragraph, but I don't wanna blather on either. So I'll just cover the basics with the understanding that I am a work in progress and things change over time. :P Whew! Now I feel better!
I am a mother to five darling lil devils. 2 boys, 2 girls then one last SURPRISE boy. My oldest is soon-to-be 18 and the youngest is soon to be 2. it's like I just started over again! They are heathenistic lil beasts, but I love them dearly and they bring much joy to my life.
3 dogs; one Catahoula Spotted Leopard dog named Katie, one ginger named Meadow, and a lil Pug named Thorogood who happens to be BEST buddies with my JackJack, the 2 year old. One cat named Mousie and one kitten who isn't officially named yet. We tend to call her T*ttyWhinerBaby.
I also keep several plants.
As I mentioned somewhere, I am a horticulturist by trade with two degrees in December; one for Greenhouse/Nursery management and one for Floral Design and Interior Plants. Woot! I work in a highly esteemed garden center in Tulsa. Yes, it is incredibly hot.
I have been pagan in practice since I was a girl in that I was a big history, culture and religion nut since I could read and would apply the things I read about other cultures and their worship into my own life. I used decks of playing cards to divine, pendulums, my own intent for change, and made offerings from waaaay back then. I didn't call it witchcraft though. I was also involved with the church my parents took me to at 8 yrs and didn't make the break from the church until I was 15 or so. I officially and actively pursued paganism around the age of 18 and got my first tarot deck as a gift then too. I started with Wicca and that lasted about a year. Then I realized that some of the tenets wouldn't be akin to ME telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth. This is a personal choice each person makes and I'm not bashing on Wicca. It works fine for those it suits, that's all. I am very accepting of others' brand of paganism or spiritualism in general. We each do things differently and that is a good thing, not a bad one. I'm a firm believer in driving your own spiritualistic car, figuratively. It requires effort and practice and always a willingness to listen and learn. For me, it is life. It shines through all aspects of this thing I call life and it feels so much more true than other religions of the world did to me.
My most important deities are Persephone and Athena. I largely stay within the Greco-Roman pantheon, but I am first and foremost a product of this wide world and listen to the messages I receive. I've also worked with Artio and Cernunnos. This is why I'm eclectic, but I do try to work with one pantheon at a time. I also use methods of practice which vary in origination. Kitchen witchery, hedge witchery, herbal magic, planetary, earth magic, some shamanistic practices, I use crystals and stones, tarot as I've mentioned, dream magic, and so on. It's pretty safe to say that I am not into ceremonial magic other than reading about it. It is quite fascinating, I just tend to be simpler in my practice.
So... what else?? I think that's a good start. |

Wow, taking a lead from Scyn here. I never did an intro! I figured Id get to be known eventually! *laughing*
Lets see. Me in a nutshell....I dont fit nicely into a nutshell. But Im outspoken, extremely loud, opinionated.
Im a natural bloodline witch, with a bunch of other stuff in there. Been walking this path actively since I was 12, though its always been inherent. Started out as Wiccan, but I have a thing about rules, and I firmly believe there is no such thing as white magick/black magick. It is all shades of gray, for no matter what you do, it creates ripples in the pond, thereby changing the Universe in some way, intentional or not. So now Im on my right path - eclectic Witch. That is about as close as you can call my path.
I already hold a degree in Criminal Justice, and in February I will have my Bachelors in Psych/Substance Abuse. I am a complete bookworm and nerd (however this term apparently Im not feeling it.)
I take the basic stance that there isn't a stupid question, but if it is one that goes unasked, then one never has the answer so ask away.
We are an awesome group here and all one needs to do is pop in, read blogs, join in chat...and never hesitate to ask questions!
So to all our new members - Welcome!

Thanks WK! Laurentia, I'd be happy to help if you has questions about plants. :D These people around here are not as into plants (mildly surprising, no?) as I would've thought. I'm excited that you wanna grow stuff, and I believe you can do it! Welcome aboard all new members, including the ones who haven't made it to this thread yet! :P |

MM all! New here to Witchbook but some of you might know me from other pagan sites like PP and PS. I've been pagan for almost 8 years now, I'm a solitary witch. I realized a long time ago that I will never stop learning about my faith/craft. Please feel free to send me a message or comment. |

Merry Meet and greetings to all of you! My name is Kimberley, but I'll go by Rhiannon here, either way works for me. I am 45 and have been on the pagan/wiccan/witchraft path about 20 years. I don't really like assigning "titles" but if I had to describe myself I would say that I'm an eclectic witch, because not only do I worship the Goddess & God and The All, but being the type of person who loves knowledge I also have incorporated teachings of a general spiritual nature relating to Louise Hay, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Debbie Ford and a number of others. I truly believe that if you want to grow spiritually and have a good life then you must be willing to be open to other people's views and opinions without getting in huge debates or arguing or insulting one another. I believe we can all get along if we just get egos (spiritual and personal) out of the way and just let each other walk our own paths and offer help when we can. I am looking to get training in becoming a professional counsellor and a life coach over the next few years in hopes to help those who don't know how to pick themselves up and face a new direction get going on changing their little personal corner of the world. I live in Vancouver BC Canada and have a wonderful man in my life, Lance, though he's not religious in any way I think he's spiritual just not like me, which is ok he respects my view and allows me the space to do rituals and such when I'm wanting to do so. I am on Facebook as well and a member of Spiritual Networks as well, which is a similar type format to Witchbook as far as set up goes. http://www.spiritualnetworks.com/ https://www.facebook.com/#!/Kimberley.RhiannonHecate those are there if you want to meet with me on Facebook I am part of a community there www.facebook.com/WitchCraeft and you're welcome to come check it out.
Bright blessings,

Bright blessings everyone! So glad I found this site! I am approaching the completion of my first year of study, and I have learned SO much! Of course, all I want to do is learn more and more... good, right? I am so lucky to have a wonderful Pagan husband and two lovely cats that love to help with magick...
In typical Gemini fashion my hobbies are far too numerous to list in full, but they include knitting+sewing, gardening, reading, horseback riding, and exercise (hiking, lifting, running, cross fit, kayaking, etc.).
I am very much looking forward to chatting with you all and making friends! Blessed be! |

Merry meet...nice to find a space for folks with like interests...
Hoping to connect with folks that can enhance my journey and allow me if I'm able to enhance theirs.
Wiccan for a few years now...you can't read, study or practice enough as far as I'm concerned, it's the only thing that makes sense in this crazy
world of our. I find peace and comfort within and try to project it without as much as possible without drawing into all the negativity that we are surrounded with constantly. Anyway...just wanted to say hi for now...gotta get some dinner ready

My big goals in life are to become a master healer, earn the title of "Merlyn" and one day create my own magick school. |

Hi I'm Holly and I'm a neo-Druid. Having followed my own spiritual journey for 4 years I've decided to focus on Druidic teaching and shamanistic connection with nature around me. I also love baking and Yoga as well as watching stand up comedy :) By my friends I'd probably be described as the ultimate Leprechaun lookalike with the navigational capabilities of an invisible map! I am hoping to go to university in September to study Archaeology. I'm looking for a Pagan pen friend of any path to exchange experiences along our spiritual paths and just to have someone to talk about Pagan stuff with, if anyone's interested let me know :) |

Hello. You can call me "spooky" for short. New here. Discovered the site from avalonmoon mentioning it on youtube. It doesn't seem THAT active but i'm sure it'll catch on with a wider variety of people here. I'm NOT wiccan. I'm more into hoodoo, however I don't have a specific category I fall into when it comes to defining my practice and beliefs. I browse the lucky mojo forums but find myself wanting to do things on my own rather than just buying stuff.
I'm a very open minded individual. Looking to make new friends/learn new things.
I'm an Aries. I'm 18. Female. Night person.

Welcome to Witchbook! Your right, it's not the most active site on the internet, But it's not intended to be (though we are always trying to expand). Witchbook has more of a community atmosphere. We try to get to know one another to some degree, rather than facebooking to 400 friends we have never met plus 50 more we know personally.
I hope you enjoy the site! Beliefs are like watches. Each trusts his own, but no two run the same. |

 Merry Meet everyone!
My name is Rhoswen, I am 22 and have been on the pagan path since I was about 13. I still haven't found that perfect little path, so I made my own :] My faith is a mixture of many different beliefs- but they all resonate and speak true to me. Rituals and the basic formality of certain faiths have never worked for me and I have a black thumb (can't grow anything) so I kinda am a terrible "formal" witch-- But I do enjoy making charms and little goody bags- those have always worked for me.
I make mixed media art and sell a bit of it when I can, I am also working on degrees in social work, literature, and art. I love to talk and am just about always online :] |

 Hi
i'm Guenever. i teach high school English for a living. my biggest passion is faeries and collecting Barbie. i also like to doll (pixel art). my website is http://www.freewebs.com/guenever/
when i was 15 i read scott cunningham's the solitary practitioner and felt like i 'found home'. since than i have been a pagan. saying i am wiccan seems too parochial. so i just say i'm a pagan. the Goddess is my main focus. i mix in a lot of other different beliefs--thus the pagan. england is my spiritual home.
i don't have any real life friends---oh, those i work with. but really my best friend is my mom and my cat. and of course my husband--the love of my life.
so i look forward to meeting new people and making some friends. |

Hello everyone :-) I'm new here and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 30 I am trying to find my path still so I haven't began learning yet.. I come from a christian home with a muslim father and oddly I've detatched my self from those paths.. I felt disconnected from them as a whole like I didn't fit. I eventually became tired of trying to force myself to be something I'm not or to believe something that makes no sense to me.. So now I'm here trying to learn and find my way.. I believe if you're going to follow a path you have to accept it as a whole.. Not just pick out the parts that are comfortable to you. Just my opinion.. Well nice to meet you all. hope to talk very soon :-) |

Hello! My name is Lakeisha. I was born on December 17th, 1990, and have already claimed being 21 on my profile about mes for the simple fact that I don't tend to update them often.
I have been separated from my husband since September or October (Can't remember which one was fall break.), and will be going through the divorce process as soon as I have the money for it.
I am a business major at the local community college. Accounting is the main focus, but I'm hoping to pick up Business management later.
I am an aunt to a beautiful little girl who was born on August 23rd.
I am a member of several social networking sites including: facebook, and gaiaonline. (I'm not on the others often enough to count them among this list right now.
I am pansexual. For those of you who may not know the definition, it means that I go by my feelings for the person, and ignore the gender.
I am wiccan and, right now, am on the track to being one of the founding members of a new coven in my area.
I live in the bible belt, meaning that only my closest friends and the people that I know won't freak out about it are aware of my choice of religion, and my orientation.
I can't think of anything else to say about me, so if you have any questions feel free to ask! :) |

I'm not sure if anyone will read this but I'm horrible at introductions, so I'll just post my general for any forum I join.
My name is Dez and I find myself to be quite uninteresting even though others tell me otherwise. I am currently 23 years old and married to an incredible man named Jeremy.
I’m a woman of contrast. Complicated and simple. Harsh and friendly. Immature and serious. I’m full of emotions. I cannot “go with the flow”, and I do not like being told what to do. I resent any restriction or limitations imposed on me and insist on doing things my way.
I love video games, reading, and pretending to be a photographer. I'm also pretty anti-social and the only person I hang out with aside from my Husband is my sister. The rest of my friends are made up of wonderful people I've met online that I will most likely never meet.
I'm in a constant soul searching state as I believe religion is what feels right to the individual. Labels are human nature and I classify myself as a Eclectic Pagan. |

Hello. I joined yesterday after finding out about witchbook on tumblr.
I am 22 years old. I sort of "fell into" the Craft seven or eight years ago when I stumbled across the word "Wicca" and had no idea what it meant. After a period of trying to find my place within the Methodist church, I found that my spiritual niche was elsewhere. I began studying Wicca but have since moved away from it. I consider myself a plain ol' pagan now. Shaping my own beliefs and path is very important to me. I am mostly a solitary practitioner, but my best friend is also pagan and I love spending time with her at her altar.
I'm out of the broom closet only to my closest friends and some individuals at my school. (I'm attending a Masters of Social Work program, so everyone is super accepting of pretty much anything. It's great.) Though my family doesn't actively attend church anymore, they are Christian and I fear how they will react to my coming out. Additionally, my partner's family is even more strongly religiously identified, and I've actually heard his parents say negative things about witches and the Craft. My partner, who is agnostic, is accepting of my spirituality (except that sometimes I feel like he mocks me a little, though he denies it). |

Good morning! (I just got up)
Thought I would post a quick introduction. I found this site through another message board, a poster posted it and I thought I would check it out. I go by many names on the net, for this one I chose "TheSidhe", because Sidhe was already taken lol. I usually have some version of it on my pagan boards I visit. mmm hmmm. Lets see. I follow a specific Irish Celtic path..I will draw from other Celtic paths but tend to not stray away simply because I haven't found any of them to really work/fit with me. Been on this path forrrrrrrr uh about 5 years now, before that I spent 7yrs being eclectic. So been at this about 12yrs now.
Mom, married, four kids, 14,11,3,2, stay at home, plan to go back to school and my new years resolutions was to learn to sew, perfect making herbal products and crochet.
:D
Thats me!
Oh, and I practice witchcraft (non wiccan) :D |

 Hi everyone,
My name is Motherwolf Ravensong. I've been a Solitary Witch for several years now. I started off with a Gardnerian teacher, but as time went on I could see that I needed something a little less structured and rigid. I have also practiced Santeria. I consider myself to be more of a spiritual person than a religious one. I worship in my own way and believe your relationship to the God/dess should be more of a personal one like that of a close friend. Aside from the religious aspect, I have a deep love for all things vehicular..lol. I've been a gearhead ever since I was old enough to know what a car was. My passion is classic muscle cars. |

Hi everyone! My name is Shiori and I came screaming into this world on 4th of June, 1990. I was raised a Christian and my family, mostly my mom accused me of worshiping Satan, just because she had pushed me to be baptized in the Church of Christ religion (since I was 13) for the nth time, but failed. She tried forcing me to talk to a minister but I managed to find some excuses. Anyway, I don't live with her anymore 'cause I guess I am a prodigal daughter.. Ugh. I am a seeker and since I was 15 y/o I started studying about the craft. Noone influenced me and as I have said I'm the only one like this in my family. I don't like being told what to do and I have my own choice of beliefs. I'm registered to a lot of Witch Online Schools and have met fellow local pagans recently which is very seldom because I live in a Christian country. I'm looking forward to meet a coven but I prefer to be Solitary. I'm still searching for the right path 'cause Wicca is not for me. I have two mentors, one lives in Maryland and the other lives near me. I'm an openbook, loves learning new things and a problem huger. I welcome challenges in my life. Anyway, I'm currently a 2ndyr College student and a part time Mortician for 2years at the same time. For me, the bloodier, the better. Should you have any questions, feel free to ask, I don't bite! :3 LL!

Yes that's it , and yea I fairly get around them lol. I was mainly a regular at Mind-n-Magick before it was closed down, but dabble around MysticWicks@Earthsongforums since the last year or two. I visit Ecauldron frequently, but mostly stay at a new one called Agoraforums where I'm a Mod, that was formed upon the announcement of M-n-M's closure, and a place MysticWick regulars could go when their server is down. I notice your name now, glad to see you!

I have already been on here for about a week now, but since I am familiarized with the place and done a few things I think it is a good idea I introduce myself. lol.
My name is Marie, but I go by my craft name Fiachna Duirsaille when talking and/or joining with a pagan community such as this one. I am a 23 year old, Alabamian girl, Scorpio/Sagittarian cusp mother to a Libra and a Scorpio, and also am a happy wife to a Scorpio as well. I have been in the Craft for a little over five years now, and I still consider myself ever learning and trying to perfect my practice. Around where I live there is a VERY small Pagan community, so I do not have any acquaintances that are Wiccan or Pagan in any sense. The one Pagan friend I did have moved away, so I am alone in my practice, and am, hence, a solitary practitioner. It is because of this that I seek online communities to talk about the Craft and its many and varied facets, so don't hesitate to friend me to talk. :) I am a pretty shy person, very quiet and to myself, but once I get accustomed to you, the Sagittarius comes out and all I really do is talk and be silly. :D The one thing that I take very serious is my Craft and practice, being as it encompasses many aspects of my life from family and parenting to lifestyles to spirituality/religion. Just message me or friend request me if you want to get to know me! |

 Greetings everyone :)
I'm Terri, 23 year old Eclectic Pagan from Tasmania, Australia. I live with my husband and our three furbabies, two cats and a dog.
I used to identify as Wiccan, but I'm now more towards Eclectic Pagan with Wiccan and Druidic leanings. I've been on a Pagan path since I was about 11, and actively practicing since about 15, so I'm almost at 10 years of being an active Pagan.
I am currently the Treasurer, Webmistress and Newsletter Designer for my local Pagan Alliance, and was recently involved in making the most recent Australian Wiccan Conference happen.
Umm I think that about covers my 'accomplishments' (which are hardly accomplishments but definitely things I'm proud of) - feel free to ask any questions you might have :) |

 Hi!
I joined late November and I'm still finding my feet. I'm a solitary wiccan learning from my mistakes. If I've learnt anything from being here it's just to go for it and not to be scared of making mistakes. I'm quiet shy (yes even on the interwebs ) so it may take me a while to get to know a few of you and make new friends. I've already added a few people I'd like to get to know so I'm sorry if you are one of them and you found it intrusive. I feel slightly more confidant in posting after reading Didi's posts in the news section, so thanks for that Digi
One thing I'd like to ask is how did you all get to know each other? Chat, Forums, comments, blogs or other communities? I'm just curious because you all seem to get on so well
Blessed be all |

I am not sure what types of mistakes you're referring to. In and on the path of the Goddess & God you are not punished for anything you do, this religious path is not like that of Christianity or the Abrahmic religions where you supposedly commit sin. Witches are not sinners, we don't do anything wrong (and by who's standards was that set? no one as far as I know in the witchcraft community says you must do this but not that in the sense of dogma, there is no dogma in this religion) and what we live by is that An Ye Harm None Do What Thou Wilt, meaning we must take responsibility for our choices but never be scared of what you think is a mistake for that is how we learn. Also as long as you feel you are bringing harm to no one, no thing or even to yourself then you're pretty ok.
You don't concede to the Goddess & God and pray like you do in Christian church and "bargain" with them to get things.
Think of this path as co-creation, your energy combined with their energy to form an outcome, whereby you watch for signs that take you in the direction you should follow by their guidance.
I too am a solitary witch and never once did I fear making a mistake, there are no mistakes on this path.
Feel free to friend me, we'll talk.

 Thanks for the welcome...
by wrong I didn't mean it quite so literally or so rigid, more that I'm learning from actually doing and finding out what feels right/wrong to me. My mistakes are from my reading, and some ideas I've picked up along the way. I'm learning, for myself, that everything doesn't have to be so perfect or 'just right' as I used to think.
Thanks for replying |

I've been floating around here, lazily. I figured it was about time I posted a formal introduction. I'm Kitsune, the name choice is in reference to my power animal or spiritual guide, which ever term you prefer. I've lived a bit of a sheltered but difficult life, so I tend to be socially awkward than anything else. I love debating, I love talking to people, it just takes me a bit to get over my initial awkwardness and shyness. Once you get to know me I'm quite bubbly and random with a bit of a darker streak, but then we are all haunted by some inner demon or another. Usually you'll see me posting blogs, or replying to a post here or there. I'm more of a lurker than anything else, though I do welcome friends and conversation. I'm a solitary witch, I'm leaning more towards green witchcraft, hedgewitch, or anything I can really learn about nature and herbs. I'd like to study as many paths as I can and I'm always asking questions. I'm not really solitary by choice, but really by location. I'd love to get to know you all, I'll see you around.
Blessed Be.

 hello and greetings.
im fletcher and i have a broad interest in the ways of the craft. i do not see my self as a (ritual) wiccan nor strictly a pagan, although i do live my life in accordance with the natural laws. i am an open, peace loving person, although i do have times when im a prat lol :p
i am a seeker at heart, forever on the journey of life. i walk not one path... but follow that which i forge myself... by love and guidance, and trial and turmoil, i have been weathered by the gentle rains and harsher storms of this life.
i have many intrests in the field of natural health, and am currently studying in the field of naturopathy, which i am enjoying very much. i am both student and teacher in this life, (as we all are), and will be more then happy in helping where i can in terms of my craft.
i have no personal deity apart from what i identify as the great sprirt. i work a magic which is as personal to me as yours is to you. to each their own! i call australia my home, its secrets are an ancient wisper, and if 'lucky' enough i will be fortunate to live a quiet life with those i love and learn some of them along the way.
i look forward to a great friendship, some interesting disagreements, and the gift each of us can exchange. May the great shine down upon you and you loved. |

 Greetings.
Well, I just found this site today, surfing the internet. So I'm brand new here. This is really cool as a site too, since I'm the only pagan I know at my school, among my friends/family, well...the picture's the common one.
I'm Emily, and I also go by Bunny as a nickname, but that's a long story. I'll answer to either though. I'm in Germany studying for the academic year at the moment, but I call Washington State home. So occasionally I'll accidentally insert a German word or two, which I do try to avoid in my English, or I write with German grammar. Fun, but a bit hilarious for my family/friends to read. And not really pagan either, but I suppose that's okay.
I'm 20 and I've been doing research into paganism, witchcraft, Wicca and seriously looking at mythology for 12 years now. I think I've always been fascinated with mythology though, and that's what kind of got me started originally. The other part that got me interested in real-life magic/witchcraft was Harry Potter. Which sounds ridiculous and stupid, but it is a reason I started learning, since I wanted to know what kind of real witchcraft there was in the world. And honestly, I wouldn't change the strange way I started down this path for the world.
As for actually identifying and beginning the journey of practicing, that's only 8 years. I'm solitary and completely self-taught. I don't have a lot of my beliefs settled, even now, but I figure that will come with more research. Especially since I haven't really been able to do that openly until the last 2 years. I'm fully out and my family knows I'm pagan, but they think it's a phase. As for friends, I generally don't tell them, but that's because I always seem to end up with the stereotypical Christian Bible-thumpers for friends. But I won't lie, so if they ask they get an honest answer.
I'm just interested in getting to know new people and learning more. So it's great to have found this website.

I feel slightly more confidant in posting after reading Didi's posts in the news section, so thanks for that Digi
You are most welcome! So many people on this site I'd love to get to know better, seems many are afraid or nervous to message me. It's never a bother! No really! If I am busy, I'll say so...
One thing I'd like to ask is how did you all get to know each other? Chat, Forums, comments, blogs or other communities? I'm just curious because you all seem to get on so well
I think it's a combination of all these. When we post blogs, and comment and so on, it helps people get to know US...and when you want to make connections with each other, the mail, chat, and instant messenger (Bottom bar, like facebook) are great ways. The forums work halfway between both options.
Some nights the Chat room is Alive with members. Some nights it's slow or dead. Best advice I can give, is don't pop into the chat for 7 seconds, and then leave...that's what most people do. Stay in there with it open for an hour or two. Leave the tab open while you browse the net in another tab, and when you hear a DING on your speakers...someone has joined the chat. you can say hello and start a good conversation this way!
Regards,

 HA!
After a couple days of fumbling around on the site, I finally found the forums which are a format that I am most familiar with compared to the other features of the site.
I have never done facebook, myspace or things of that nature, so the stumbling around viewing profiles and personal blogs was a little weird for me.
I was at coven space for a short time years ago, but had given up on using that site because at the time I was living in an area where I had to use dial up for an ISP and the site was wonky with the low connection speed.
I've been in a new area for a few years now and decided to check it out again with the DSL and found it had gone the way of the dino's and was rolled over to here.
I couldn't quite figure out how you could talk to anyone other than a few people who left a comment on my profile and I am not even sure if they saw a reply...
Anyway, the forums are probably where I will spend most of my time here because it is a familiar format.
I like to discuss dreams and help people interpret their own dreams for themselves with gentle nudges and maybe a little direction.
As far as I am concerned, an individual is the only person who can really interpret their dreams fully as the symbolism is all very personal even when classic archetypes are involved as everyone has their own set of circumstances.
I also have knowledge of crystals and fossils, but it may be a bit unlike what some users here would be looking for.
I'm not the type who will claim a certain type of crystal can be used for any purpose outside of practical industrial uses even though I do believe there is a mystical side to crystals.
In my experience, it can vary so widely from person to person and even from crystal to crystal that these 'definitions' cannot be espoused as fact.
I am very familiar with most of the metaphysical terminology which describes physical characteristics of different crystals and can easily identify them by sight along with mineral classifications.
If anyone ever wants an opinion, feel free to ask...
Oh, yeah...
I type like a jerk, so just get used to it...

Hello! I am Mysterys Keeper the Pagan formerly known as --------. I had a lot of problems with the whole name thing. Yeah...I'm kinda gimpy about computers.
I have been a practicing Pagan for 10 years. Raised Christian but began questioning it. becoming very uncomfortable with it. I kinda looked beneath my feet one day and found I had a Path. Like all Paths sometimes its very clear sometimes its overgrown. Its even wandered into some weird territory.
My birth name is Brenda. I have 4 kids--3 men and 1 woman. They are all in their 20s. I have 3 grandkids and 2 step grandkids. I have 2 cats that hate eachother. I'm taking care of a ferret for my son.
I work so I don't spend alot of time on line. But I am hoping to make some friends that are like minded. I haven't found any other Pagans around me. I know they're around but they don't get very open about it.
Peace

 Hey everyone.
My name is Kitiara. I'm a new/old member. I was a member of Covenspace, and an early member of Witchbook before the 18+ rule. I turned 18 on the 27th, so now I'm back (under a new name, but still back, regardless, haha).
It's good to be on Witchbook again. :) |

Merry meet! My name is Niki and I'm new to this site and relatively new to Wicca. I've always been interested in it but just started trying to learn more about a year ago. I found a couple of women who taught a class but one passed away and I can't seem to get in contact with the other. I've been kind of floundering on my own ever since. I live in a small town in Kentucky so it's difficult to find people who I can talk to and learn from. I'm hoping with the help of this site, a few others, and the small number of like-minded individuals I've met, I can finally continue down my path. I'd like to thank everyone in advance for any thoughts or advice given to me along my journey.

 Hello all,
My name is Aly and I've been a Wiccan for about 14 years (half my life!). I wasn't raised into any particular religion but my mother always had tarot cards and crystals lying around, making that transition pretty easy. When I discovered Wicca it was like a light turning on in my life, allowing me to see what all the fuss about religion was about. I'm currently working on getting back into it after a dark period in my life and a bit of a lapse in faith.
My patron goddess is Athena but I'm also highly interesting in the Celtic pantheon (despite being unable to pronounce most of it). I specialize in more hands on magic like hex bags and crafts but I'm working on learning more divination and energy work.I'm in a particularly crafty mood lately so I'll probably be posting some of my creations.
Feel free to add me and have a wonderful evening :)

 Hello All,
I'm new to the site, obviously, but not new to the Pagan tradition. I was part of a small group in Highschool, and a circle in College. Unfortunately I let things pull me from practice and I really want to get back. As I start that trip (I'd call it a journey but that sounds so serious) I've found there is ALOT more out there then I originally thought. I've been very sheltered in my learning and so have done alot based on what feels right to me. I have just (this past year) moved out to the country to start my farm and become sustainable. This means, to me at least, refinding my spiritual roots. It also means getting to know all the folks who live in the area and around the house that think its funny to carry on conversations all night and spook the cats. My husband is part of a familial line, and is looking forward to teaching our children if/when we have them. I'd like to have something to pass on as well. I look forward to getting to know everyone here, or alot of you at least.

 Merry Meet, everyone.
I am Rev. Lowe. This is not my first go-around on Witchbook, I used to have an account here a while back but I can't remember it for the life of me, I'm on so many different blogs or social networks I've had to start writing down a list. I recognize some names on here from my time spent here the first go-around, and other names I recognize from other Pagan Social Networks, so please don't be shy, feel free to say hello.
I'm an instructor at the Midnight Star School of Witchcraft and the House of Sacred Mother & Child, and I have spent most of my life instructing, so I oftentimes come across a very straightforward and to-the-point. I tend to be long-winded in my replies because I like to cover every angle I possibly can on whatever last dregs of coffee I am gulping down. If at any point you feel as though I am talking down to you, I assure you that I am not. It is just simply my professional and grammatical nature--and the teacher in me coming out, but don't let that deter you from speaking to me. I'm very easy to get along with once you get to know me, I'm just very proper in the way in which I write.
We are all students, and I hope I will learn as much here as I share here. I'm very active in the Pagan Community being an advocate for the Pagan Assistance Fund, a member of the Atlanta Pagan Roundtable, several volunteer committees for various Pagan and Interfaith events, Pagan/Native American spiritual art networking connections, and as a columnist for the CST Pagan Prison Ministry Newsletter (and soon for the NGS Newsletter.) I enjoy networking with people from all over the world and making new friends.
If you're in North America, or more specifically North Georgia and would like to know what is going on in the Pagan Community, please drop me a message and I'll be more than happy to share any news that comes my way. As a fan of networking, I recently joined my blog to PaganPacks and the Pagan Blog 2012 (A Year of Blogging.) You can find many of my updates on my blog, which I will often post here on this site's blog as well concerning non-profit events and charities we are running.
I hope to see you all in the forums and chats soon! Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask, I love Q&A and there is no such thing as a taboo topic with me.
Brightest Blessings,
Rev. Jonathon S. Lowe; HP

My name is Lleiffer Mawr and I am Cymry Gwyddon. At a very young age I felt Called to spirituality and particularly Wicca, but as I grew in my knowledge and experience, my Ancestors begin to guide me in the path of my Welsh family. I call myself a member of a Family Tradition of neo-paganism and this grew into understanding and Re-member-ing things connected to Druidry and Welsh "shamanism". I do have wide experience in many other Traditions and paths and am ALWAYS interested in learning and utilizing what I learn. I am the Founder/President/CEO of The Church of Y Doniad, a tribal-based organization of Cymry Gwyddoniad or "Welsh Witchcraft/Shamanism" for lack of a better English translation.

Wow, call me Kooky, but I never realized that there were forums here! :-)
Well, for those of you who don't know me, I'm Gule or Carrie depending on which you choose to call me. I've been a practicing Wiccan for about 12 years, and a mentor for about 5. I don't profess to know everything because you never stop learning, but I do share what knowledge I have with the newbies to the path. I don't know what else that you fine folks would like to know! |

 Hello:D
My name is Jessica and I am a simple little house witch. been practicing as far back as I can remember.. heck I remember a little gold notebook of spells that my 2nd grade teacher found and thought it was so cute. Tehe. I am a lesbian and a factory rat. Recently i've been making hand scrubs and working on an everyday face scrub/cleanser. These do well in the shop and I think business will do well. This year I have lost many, many people and coping is hard. Though I try and be always thankful for even knowing such wonderful people. Still feels like I busy my funerary incense every week:(
sidenote: learning to appreciate the ones I love
I am a closet to my family... they hate me enough already for liking girls. Not ready to tell certain people yet. Though I find comfort in my grandmother who is a goddess-aware catholic-pagan-astrology guru-fellow natural stone jewelry fanatic:) I have practiced with some people in the past but we mostly grew apart.... I am looking for people to learn with and talk to but not a coven. Im a solitary kind of girl.
I feel quite lonely as of late and am very much looking for people to talk to.
Thanks for listening to my words, your attention brings me joy:) |

Hey. I'm BRAND SPANKING NEW here. I have recently decided to rediscover the Wiccan religion. I probably shouldn't even say REDISCOVER, because I attempted to discover it when I was in high school, but my parents were NOT understanding about it. They are both a part of the Catholic religion, and when I reached the age of ten, my mother gave me a choice to still attend church or not. I chose the latter. When I got older and had done research into many other religions & finding nothing that made me feel at home, I stumbled upon someone that came from a Wiccan family. I started to look into it, and fell in love. But when I tried to actually practice it at home, I was basically told no. I used to scold myself all the time for not just finding some place to practice that was NOT at home, but I've come to realize that it's in the past and I can't change that. I can however, change my present. So here I am. I really have JUST begun associating myself with the Goddess & God. I can't wait to start hunting around this site. |

Well met everyone, my name is Erica, but my long time nickname now has been Maiavel (or Mai). I'm a minecraft addict and spend many hours building fantastical forests with pretty streams, sitting areas, groves, and log cabins. At present a group of friends and I are designing a server for the purpose of roleplaying in a medieval, magical world (elves, dwarves, humans oh my!).
I've been studying Paganism and Wicca since I was 14. I turn 26 near the end of this year, so it's been quite a while. For a very large majority of my life (literally until the last handful of months) I've lived in the city under horrible stress and conditions. My husband of 6 years has tried very hard to support, and comfort me in times of great stress, but a 500sq.ft. apartment just wasn't a comfortable place to set up any sort of sacred space.
Through a combination of misfortune, and luck, we could no longer afford to live in the city and moved out into the country with my in-laws. I find myself at peace, with time and space to devote to contemplation, meditation, and exercise. The property is lakeside, and my husband and I take walks around it's edge on days with pleasant weather. There's even a national forest that we can spend time in.
I had decided, on a bit of whim, that after all these years (and a previous attempt at social networking with another site) to take down some walls and attempt communications again. I even added OO to my iPhone so I could check on this site whenever I'm not home. :3
I'm not overly social, preferring to keep more to myself than actively seeking out others, so all I ask for is patience and understanding from people who wish to reach out to me.
Bright Blessings

 Hello new members!
Sorry, I've been a little lax in greeting new members here in the forum. So I wanted to stop by and rectify that. Mai, my kids LOVE Minecraft and your willingness just to introduce yourself is more than a fair number do, so I thank you for stopping by to do that.
Gule, Mystery, Taranis, Lleiffer, Sidhe, I see you're still poking around and my apologies for not welcoming you here sooner! I know others have, and I've seen a few of you in chat. Taranis, I didn't know half that stuff about you! :p very interesting!
Welcome to all of yas! I hope you enjoy your time here and find things to latch onto and develop on. |

 Hey there everyone!
Much like Gule up there, I just noticed that the forums even exist so... here's my slightly belated greeting!
There isn't much I can say that I haven't put on my profile description yet, but I can summarize it and you can go there or ask me directly for more. I am a Chaos Mage (hence the title "Magus" in my name here) circa summer 2006. I've already received and answered several questions about "Chaos Magick" to some friends here on wb, but rather than post that here I'll just say that I'm thinking of putting that explanation up in a blog post eventually.
I'm a college sophomore studying Human Communication Studies, and a contracted (they pay me) member of the Army ROTC as per my (by current estimate) 12 year dream of becoming an Army officer.
I also play the trombone and sometimes I write poetry.

So hi, I'm new. :) I've been Pagan a long time, since my sophomore year in high school, which was more than a decade ago (I graduate from college a decade ago in December). I've read a lot of books, and was briefly part of a coven, but I've never really been a practicing Pagan. You know, the odd Samhain ritual here and there when it's been a particularly trying year (2010 was not fun, lost an aunt and two family furbabies). This is the year I'm going to try to start bringing more of my spirituality into my life, and practice more, starting with the upcoming Ostara. I'm probably shooting a bit high, because I'm combining the Sabbat with a healing ritual for a friend, but the friend is aware and helpful and in need, so I'm hopeful all will go well.
Um... anyway. I work for the state, doing birth certificates at a local hospital. It's an... interesting job. I have to know a lot about the state laws, and lots of people don't like hearing what I've got to say. I'm sort of in the process of looking for something better.
I love Disney World. ^_^ I've been three times in the last two years, mostly because it's an escape from reality and the real world. An expensive escape that I won't be able to take again for along while.
I live with my parents (>:( ) which is one of the reasons I'm looking for a better job....
Okay, well. That's me. ^_^

Greetings et. al. I found this site after deciding to leave paganspace. Looking for a place where I can find good discourse. I am an eclectic pagan of 16 yrs, and also a scholar, a poet and a stay at home mom. I enjoy doing traditional art, but haven't had much of an opportunity as of late. Interested in astronomy/astrology, witchcraft, gods and goddesses, dreamwork, dark paganism, necromancy, religion, spirituality, and a lot of other things, including paranormal. Politically i tend to lean libertarian. Fond of gardening and gourmet cooking. Love goth and grunge.

Hello! For new member introductions? I'm a new member! Um...let's see...I'm 18 years old, and I've been studying and practicing witchcraft since I was 13, but I did it in secret for a while because I tried to share my new discovery with my friends and ended up getting shunned and called evil. I'm from the south. It was increbibly hard to be a witch in that town, but then I moved to a much more open town and ended up actually making friends interested in witchcraft, one of them became my self proclaimed student. He was a character...but it's not all bad. I really enjoy everything about being a witch and I'm quite proud of it...and...I guess that's all I have to say. |
