Mass Object Consecration/Blessing?
I'm looking to do a consecration for somewhere in the area of 100+ stones..... That's a completely overwhelming task if i were to do each of them according to their specific properties. My question is, for the stones that I won't be using as much, what is your opinion on doing all those at once? Is that okay, or should they all be done separately? I haven't done this before. I do plan on blessing each stone I favor/will use the most INDIVIDUALLY, but what about the rest?

Don't confuse cleansing with charging and charging with consecration/blessing. It sounds to me like you need to just do a mass cleansing. To do that I would use salt water. Anything that is color fast will not be harmed. Take a large bowl and use whatever salt you like the most. If you wanted to take it a step further...you could use Spring water instead of tap water or you could boil the tap water to make it more pure.
After cleansing this way, pat them dry and make sure they aren't very damp. Then you can smudge them all. Leave the smudge residue in place.
As you actually go to USE the stones for whatever purpose, you can charge them with your energy by taking them out into the sunlight or moonlight. There are many ways to charge your stones and crystals and you'll have to tailor this to your needs and style. Some use their Athame or wand during this, some use certain oils or herbs. I don't use oils or herbs until the blessing of the items. I use my wand and either the sun or moon light or candles.
For blessings....pay attention to your God/Goddess correspondences and your oil and herb correspondences. Combine these in a way that suits you as you actually USE the stones.
So, in short....a mass cleaning with salt water and smudge, charge as they are used, and bless as they are used.
Ya don't wanna charge or bless something and not use it for three months ya know?!

Or.. Light a sage bundle or some incense, and do them all that way? A sprinkling of Salt works most of the time. A dab of consecrated oil? A lot of stuff can't get wet.. Most ground is at least damp, so these are things that I have employed over the years.

A mass cleansing of tools or objects isn't a problem. I have done it before, but I have to be careful how I consecrate certain things. If I wanted to do all my tools at the same time, I would put them in a container or in a safe place to gather sunlight and moonlight (especially being as I have children). However, when it comes to the consecrated water and burying in soil, I have to be careful and might employ both depending on the tools I am consecrating. Of course, wooden objects won't go in water, but might can be buried in dry soil for a period of time, and there are some things that can't be buried in the ground (such as some metals) and might instead have to be placed in water. So it just depends on the objects, and the method in which you go about it. There are tons more techniques that one can use to consecrate tools (I merely borrowed the ideas from Witchfire to help with my examples being as I couldn't think of any others, plus those are the ones I commonly employ anyway).

I don't see a problem with doing a mass cleansing. I've done it. My methods are: burying them in soil for some time (a friend keeps a rock garden, where she digs up the ones she needs and keeps the others in the ground with markers); or by placing them all in a clear bowl, giving equal amounts of sunlight and moonlight; or just rinsing them in consecrated water. If you want to use them later, you can re-cleanse if you wish. Or just empower and do whatever. :-)

Because Spirit may have a purpose for those stones in the long run. I have done the same thing, cleansed, blessed then consecrated many stones at one time. THen Spirit decided that many of these gems were actually MEANT for someone else and not for my own personal practice. Now, if you plan on using every single one of them, I would wait until you are doing actual Workings with each stone before programming them for a specific task. But as gulediskanahi said, be careful, certain methods of cleansing may not be the best thing for a specific stone.1 pointgulediskanahi wrote 113 Days Ago (neutral) 0I would use the sage method because some stones are water soluble, for example, selenite is one of those stones. If you don't know your stones that well, you could just be saying bye-bye to a perfectly good (and pricey stone)0 points
